"The tragic reality is that very few sustainable systems are designed or applied by those who hold power, and the reason for this is obvious and simple: to let people arrange their own food, energy and shelter is to lose economic and political control over them. We should cease to look to power structures, hierarchical systems, or governments to help us, and devise ways to help ourselves." - Bill Mollison

Ohiofarmgirl - Oops, I didn't think of that. Anyway, you have quite the gang there and I'm sure they will all do their jobs very well. My parents have never had anything but German Shepards so I grew up with them and thought your two might be something like that, but I have never seen white ones before...great dogs. Mum is the word.
yep mum's the word. its kinda a weird thing.. isnt it? but they are great and i wouldnt trade them for the world. you were very luck to have them growing up. ;-)
MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Blessed New Year!! Looks like a riot in the snow but oh so cold. Reminds me of the days I froze in Michigan growing up and when I had to brave the winters in The Windy City while the hubby was finishing Optometry school there on the southside of Chicago. BURRRR!!!! I don't miss it. Stay warm. Peace & Raw Health, Elizabeth
Weary of the world and its illogical ways my wife and I have chosen a path towards self-reliance in all aspects of our lives. Our main focus is on growing and gathering our own food. We hope to use this blog as an avenue to share with and learn from others with similar interests.

The Barracuda thought that was the coolest idea ever! Dad's days of pulling the sled are numbered. I have a feeling a dog sled is in our future :)

There's nothing better than kids shrieking with joy! Merry Christmas... and a prosperous food growing & frugal new year!
Rowdy is a right regular Klondike dog! Nothing more real than a boy and his dog living life in the moment. :D
Merry Christmas to you and all of your family. May the new year bring real wealth to you - good friends, good food, and lots and lots of laughter.
That sled ride looks like a lot of fun!
