And, yes, what a great plant...I am still amazed that I have never heard of this plant before. I will have to give it extra special attention this summer.

Thanks for visiting,

MikeMr. H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04576034751522467377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7636358068441886242.post-7980247363293146362009-04-28T19:27:00.000-07:002009-04-28T19:27:00.000-07:00I discovered burnet last year, with its distinctly...I discovered burnet last year, with its distinctly cucumber flavor. What I like is how it adds the flavor of cuke without diluting a dish with all the water in the actual fruit. It's so inspiring, viable seeds remain after so much time and who knows what hardships. It's one of the reasons I garden -- to be reminded of such resilience.Becky and the Beanstockhttp://beckyandthebeanstock.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7636358068441886242.post-82201374441104306712009-04-25T21:22:00.000-07:002009-04-25T21:22:00.000-07:00Hello Silke,

I looked up the German name (Pimpinelle) and realized that, yes, we used to also eat it in our salads. It's quite good actually. I might have to add it to our herb garden this year! Thanks for your nice comment about my art. :) SilkeSilke Powershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17094855019089665976noreply@blogger.com
